GHL and Ecotech THE announcement

Now the decision has been made: GHL is going to build an Ecotech Marine Controller which enables you to connect VorTech pumps to a ProfiLux!

The last details regarding a cooperation had been discussed at Interzoo between Tim Marks and Justin Lawyer (Ecotech Marine) and Matthias Gross (GHL). Approx. from July 2010 on GHL will offer this controller which enables ProfiLux to control the EcoSmart Driver of the VorTech propeller pumps!

Any wirelessly equipped EcoTech pump will be able to interface with the GHL controller. However, only EcoSMART equipped pumps will be able to enter EcoSMART modes and settings.

This will work by a $25 deposit and then this amount taken off your final order value.

However what we ask this time (after the debarckle of the P3 upgrade pre order) is that everyone understands that there will be a wait We hope to start shipping at the end of July, this depends on shipping schedules from GHL.

It will be first come first served, and this is where we ask for your kind help in enabling these pre orders so we know how many to bring in.

There will be a 10% pre order discount also as a way of saying thank you for helping us schedule this launch properly

Price - below $200 we hope around the $125 bracket but I am guessing.

Connection - not PAB as it has to configue to P2 users also, likely though off of RS232

Type of unit - it will be a small external device

it seems there is quite some interest in this module ...

Now a question to all

These are the possible options:
- internal expansion card
- external module for RS232
- external module for PAB
decision hasn't been made yet, there are advantages/disadvantages for all of these ideas.
In regards to ProfiLux II - it is not clear yet if is possible to make this module also working with PII, simple reason: PII internal ressources are maybe too "full" for the EcoTech control.
If it is not possible to have the EcoTech support in the PII I personally would prefer a module for the PAB.
