GHL and Ecotech THE announcement

The whole point is to centralize control of your system. This is what the GHL Products are all about. The Vortech control module will allow you to simplify your maintenance and feed pause settings, tie your pumps in to a single controller (even those from other manufacturers) for more complex wave patterns, storm simus, more flexible Night modes.

This isnt a "replacement" controller for the integrated Vortech controllers, its a control interface to manage them from your profilux. your Profilux will simply become the "Master" controller for the Vortechs which will operate in slave mode. This is how any 3rd party controller will operate the Vortechs
Maybe all nice to have, But i found once you set the Vortech pumps you don't really change the settings, set and forget.

Hi JJK,

I write this to reasure you as this is important for us you feel happy in what GHL do and its choices. I hope this gives you a good level of assurance.

Nothing GHL does diminishes any product design. Just because GHL wish to make the product for "all" its users does not make it less functional for others, call it an inclusive company standard. Thinking of everyone not just the few. That does not mean the poduct will have less or cut down features.

If you are worried that every new function will always come out for the PII also leading to the thought, why have a P3 then? You are not looking at what the P3 can do already that the Plus II cant, and this brings me right back to the point that the Plus II already is on the edge of capacity and may still not have access to this feature anyway. Which proves my whole point really that no not everything will be made available for the Plus II, BUT GHL will do their best where possible to look after all their users.

A Them and Us development path is both negative and degrading no matter what the product, thinking of everyones feelings rather just a few is a far nicer way to work.

GHL will always think of their whole market NOT just part of it, so of course GHL will do everything possible to make all clients happy not just those that wished to upgrade to the P3. And that does not mean a product coming out with lesser functionality.

Please email me if you are still concerned so this thread stays on track :)

I have a question. I have two pumps: one set as master and the other set as slave. The flow is random and it switches back and forth from side to side on which is strongest and weakest. If the controller is the master and both of my pumps will now be slaves, am I going to lose the ability to switch back and forth from side to side on my wave action?

Thanks in advance.

Ken

Good news, i am interested :) So if we want to control 2 pumps, do we need to buy 2 or how will it work ? i would prefere a expansion card or pab.

Will there be any advantage of having the new ecotech driver, or will it be the same as the old?

I'm in for one and have been waiting for this option. I'm also open to the idea of a sweet P3 upgrade combo package if it turns out to be the best solution for current P2 users.

Secondly I vote PAB.

I'm interested in 1,
I have a P2EX - Prefer expansion

I also have an MP40w, and a MP10 EcoSmart. So how will this controller work differently because one is ES and the other is NOT?

I for one would definately be interested in this module.

;)

While you all wait for more info please could everyone reply here who would be interested in this connection so we can work out "roughly" the first order quantity.

I will keep this thread bumped to make sure everyone gets to see it.

Thanks guys for all your replies, this really helps us determine stock holding numbers, we have also received many replies by email.

The next step is to get it released, this is still on course ;)

We will also be working with dealers to do GHL/Ecotech controller packs, so anyone wanting to purchase an Ecotech and the GHL control parts can do so as a package.

Furhermore we will launch packs with Ecotechs included when you buy a profiLux controller, and no dont read that wrong, that does not read as "great GHL pack with free ecotech"!! Absolutely not. What it means is new comers to GHL can get a full set up in one kit, GHL controller - GHL interface - Vortech pump.

More to follow

Resurrecting this thread...

I'm in for one.

I have yet to buy either the Profilux or a VorTech but they have both been on my "to buy" list. This would be great if I could snag them both as a package.

As I read from an earlier post it seems that we will need to get the wireless EcoSmart driver? (i.e. MP40w ES....in case I get antsy and go ahead and buy the pumps) ;)

Thanks

Reply from Justin at Ecotech:

Any wirelessly equipped EcoTech pump will be able to interface with the GHL controller. However, only EcoSMART equipped pumps will be able to enter EcoSMART modes and settings.

Hope that answers ;) Let me know if you need more help.

Mike, will there be details coming on the P3 + vortech control upgrade to PII users?

Need to know when to send you mine ;)

Mike

Pricing will be announced I am told this week, from then on we will start pre orders.

Although the units are released for sale in July on target, due to shipping times from Germany and our annual shut down shipping to clients will be 2nd-3rd week of August.

At this time we will announce the GHL/Vortech packs and also the ProfiLux 3 upgrade deals. But please note the policy on upgrade does not change you still have to send in your controller to an authorised service center which there are now 4.
