You will love the light. I can't believe the how different corals look under my Kessils vs under the LX7. The photos below are a great example and a reason why I plan on upgrading my lighting on my main display to the LX7's later this year. The LX7 is in a league all it's own when you factor in control, spread, power, color and cost. By far the best light I've ever had my hands on.

Strawberry short cake frags from the main colony under Mitras LX7. This coral takes on a whole new look under the LX7's. Absolutely stunning! What's interesting is that I don't have the LX7 set much more blue than the Kessils. It must be the additional channels and the type of diodes used in the Mitras becaue the different in coral coloration is night and day while the different in what you see in terms of lighting is marginally different to the eye.
And this Cyphastrea morphed over the last few weeks into this under the LX7. It looked completely different when it got it.

I don't have a project file that I'm using for the LX6200. When I had the 6200 over my frag tank, I used the 21,000k temples in light composer and made some minor tweaks but didn't save the project. That light is over another tank in my house right now that doesn't have any corals in it. It's just going through it's algae cycle right now before I start stocking it. The LX7 is a completely different light and that project won't be a good one for the 6200 since they don't have the same amount of white diodes as the 6200.

I'm still waiting for my LX7 and may have to wait until after xmas. Vinny at GHL-USA e-mailed me and said many of the pre-orders will run up to 5 weeks to get out the door.
a bit of a bummer but I'm still very excited.

I loaded someones project. I believe I still have the files. I took them from a projects folder that was floating around called "great barrier reef" I believe. I run them at 60%

The LX7 uses UV diodes in place of white diodes on one of the channels which if memory serves me correctly is channel 8. As such, it would likely need to be tweaked for the LX7. You could increase the existing white channel a bit to compensate for the missing white channel and play with the UV channel to your liking.
Its been a while since I shared some projects. If you can remind me on how to get my project from my lights to a file...You are welcome to mine. It has great growth, dusk/dawn etc. I have 6100's.
That is for now until I get the new pucks in January.

My new Mitras LX7's just arrived and they are beautiful!!!!! I see a big lighting upgrade in my future. I am very excited now! I got my brackets made for my light rack and articulating mounts for the Mitras. I will start planning my lighting upgrade this weekend. We will be filming the install and setup for an LA Fish Guys Episode. Stay tuned!
