Oh forgot to add that, yep, don't work lol.

Iv opened a thread on the "help" forum to try and shed some light, (no pun intended lmao)

As i opened the package i was extremely impressed with the quality of the product, a very fine piece of technology. as i installed it on the aquarium i was very impressed at the amount of light that it put out, almost a bright a a 400w metal halide. these lights are amazing!! but thats where it took a nose dive, being a bright as a 400w metal halide, but only putting out half the PAR with all the LED's on high output at 100% 560 par just under the surface, that means i need 8 lights for my 500 not 4. But disappointment didn't end there. At the time of purchase i understood that they only ran on a windows format. I had virtual machine and windows 7 added to my Mac, got it home downloaded the App and the driver and my lights won't communicate with my computer. Brought it back to the business that installed windows and they couldn't get it to work. So i guess now my only option is to buy a windows driven computer or buy a GHL controller. How convenient. Impressed with the quality of the product, extremely disappointed with the software.

Hi
The default is energy mode max output 80% if you go into the built in computer on the lamp you can then change this to high output mode and change to 100% your disappointment will end instantly :)

In regards to macs etc, we have literally hundreds of mac users with GHL, my advice is get assistance on the correct support forum as posting here GHL simply are not going to see your concerns.

Please set up an account at www.aquariumcomputer.com (go to forum) wait to be accepted (as in Germany wont be instant due to time difference) then post any set up questions you have.

You also do not download an APP for the software its a hard software install on the hard drive. This could be your issue. Bit hard offering support here as it gets too difficult to follow up, so please sign up as above. ;) The APP is for GHL Profilux owners.

Your disappointment is only short lived and requires a bit of friendly support to rectify.

You need to get the latest software from the website. It's a pain having to run in emulation but it does work.
If you need help let me know and I will do what I can. I am on vacation at the moment but I'm on my phone from time to time.

The truth is, GHL should take OSx and iOS more serious! The way around with boot camp and parallels is a PITA. The Americans should post more on the GHL forum to let them know what the market is asking for.

Therefore there is the English part of the forum and posts are answered within a day by GHL and geeks who know English very we'll.

They are not going to take it seriously as with any other company are moving away from software and onto browser based applications, it would be a 100% reversal of forward thinking in terms of applications. Software is fast becoming a thing of the past for these sorts of uses so there is no point spending the money

I can't agree more! From this point of view, GCC is a waist of time and money. The concurrents are already one step further.

Hello friends,
I just buy the mitras led,now i Wanna ask something, what is the good setting for sps or just use default?
Thanks

Iv posted this in the help forum as well

Can anyone please tell me how to make the clouds float over my three lamps, iv read the new manual but do not understand it at all.

I want the cloud to come in on lamp 1, then to lamp 2, then to lamp 3

The end is nigh!

We are moving in 8 weeks to our new place backing onto the Golf course in Manotick. Sadly due to the renos involved the tank cant come. So we are saying goodbye to this build this week.

fear not a new one will start in the fall! BIGGER, even more bling!

awesome. I just loaded that program yesterday - I am running it in High Output mode at 80%. (my tank is about 23" deep at the sandbed)
Very nice project - thank you for posting it!

Watch the acclimation. My tank is 36" deep and I got some bleaching on an acro I added to the bottom when I was running it in HO mode.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't have any corals in the tank yet so all is good.
I am going by PAR and acclimating corals in my QT to match the PAR they will get where I plan to put them. I certainly hope that works ok - I am in over my head when it comes to lighting!

My assumption has been- and I don't really know why..- that in high efficiency mode, at 100%, the lights are running at 70% of absolute maximum output...

I think it would be great if someone associated with GHL had a definitive answer but I suppose one of us could work this out with a PAR meter.
