Biodegraded - I have now had time to read through your post, firstly I have no clue what thread you are talking about being closed I do not have the power to get any thread closed.
Moving on to your subject matter. NO the light composer file will NOT match the setting you made manually through the external interface as they were made - manually, the lamp does not send stored setting back to the software from the flash, only the other way round. This is because the lamp has been designed for software use. And yes the lamp will default back to the file settings on the software because your project is separate to your manual settings you just made, there is no connection between the two.
The flash is a one way street it only accepts commands from which ever mode you choose, it will not send them out to the software on command. So if you play with the settings manually, no you will not see these changes in the software. This is of little consequence as the lamp was not designed to be used this way.
Yes you can set up a basic schedule there although not easily as you have to adjust every set point and channel individually and yes you then save it back to flash, but this is neither easy, for the beginner or gives you any extra benefit.
As I said the lamp is designed to be used around the software and as mentioned before the new Linear will not even have a front panel. However if you want to use it the way you have chosen of course we can help you but not on this thread sadly as it is not for technical support to that level. You can email me or post on the support forum at www.profiluxsupport.com GHL are always open to improvement suggestions so if you feel you have a valid improvement worth considering please feel free to post it on the wish list sub forum. I am sure GHL will take note as always with all good suggestions.
I cant really get into the technicalities here of setting the lamp up from the front panel as it would take many posts on here and is such a very little used option for control, but as said of course we are happy to support any questions you may have externally from this thread.
I hope the software overview i took the time to do today for everyone is of great benefit for those new to mitras or others looking at Mitras and want to get an insight into how easy it is to utilize the suite and get your lamp up and running.
We will also be offering phone support for new users who are stuck providing they are in front of the lamp and connected to the software, we will then do a walk through. Details of this service will follow in August as i am away for most of this month.
