I had my unit hanging with the hanging kit. I kind of coiled the excess cable and it laid flat in the Mithras and never noticed it. I also fastened the power cable to the closest cable and ran it up about 2 feet than ran the cable to the wall and fastened it to the wall and down to the outlet. It looked real clean and I was pleased with it.

Did you try going through the front panel as I had suggested? You might want to PM GHL directly on the GHL forum if you haven't done so already. If not send an email to GHL USA support and I am sure Matthias will chime in.
I have had my 6100 series Mitras upgraded to the new 6300 pucks in the LX7 for a couple of weeks now and I"m impressed with the performance thus far. Some of the SPS that I have that have never changed colors for me are now changing colors. I"m excited to see what they turn into. The extra uv and blues seem to be helping allot. The light is really silky smooth.

You connect to the Mitras using GCC. Click the Composer tab. It will prompt you to open or create a project. Select Open and select your project. You have now "loaded" it. You can modify it as you choose or save it to the lights. You then select transmits to lights down below in the composer tab. In one of the tabs along the top is the option to save the project in case you made changes to it. That will save it to your computer.

I finally got my lx7s. thanks Vinny for putting up with my pestering. Got connected to wifi and one slaved to a master. One unit took several tries to get the wifi setup to work, but it finally DHCPed. I have 2 on a 59x22x22 inch tank.
I am also looking for a good profile. I mainly need a good set of colors, doing the timing is pretty easy in GCC. I am a led noob so I have no idea how to balance the color channels for good grow and good visual appeal.
I like to run 2% of the royal blue channel a couple hours before and after my real light cycle. Will that cause any issues with fish/corals, I just like the way it looks.

Just open up composer in GCC and use the slider to change the Kelvin to a color of your liking. You can create different colors and for different times of the day and save that color spectrum by moving it to the right bar in composer. Unfortunately I am not going to be infront of my computer for a handful of days as I am traveling but once you are in composer, it will prompt you to open or create a new project. Select create new one. Then use the slider on the right to adjust the spectrum/Kelvin. Composer will make simulatinious adjustments to all channels as you change the Kelvin. You can set GCC to "output directly to lights" to see the changes realtime. There really isn't much of a reason to play with each channel individually unless you want to really fine tune specific channels to bring out certain colors in your corals. Create a daytime spectrum and a sunrise sunset spectrum. The add the time points and intensity for the ramp up, peak and ramp down. Then save the project and also transmit the project to the lights which will update the program onto the lights. Hopefully that will make some sense once you poke around GHL Control Center (GGC) and open up Light Composer. I'm running on fumes from a lack of sleep so my coherency is ailing.

I just mounted my lx7s. I made the mount myself out of 8020 series 10. By just luck the wire fits snuggly into the slot. Im pretty happy with how it came out.
I have them 13 inches over my tank. Im not sure if that is good for a 60x22x22 tank. I think it may be a little high. I can move them down, but i kinda like having the space. Still playing with the color I have it set pretty blue.

Are there any Australian or at least non-European/UK Mitras owners here? Was hoping to get your experiences on GHLs service and product support.
I've been researching the LX7s for a couple of months now and my comparisons to other products of similar quality keep pushing me towards the Mitras. They are stunning.
My one and only reservation is that there is no local support for the product in Australia and in the unlikely event something does go wrong, I could be up for weeks (maybe even months) without a light and a load of shipping costs with warranty support.
This isn't a criticism of GHL at all. It's just that the market for aquarium equipment in Australia is small and in terms of choice, very limited. Buying internationally is an option if you want more chocie but from bitter experience, it can be an expensive nightmare.
