HI fishie nut.
i was using the pro trial at first, but now i am running the free version, i cant see any need for the pro when using it with the profilux

i am going on holiday today, so this will be the big test,
i wanted to fit a dump valve to my skimmer to empty it but i dont have a enough time, so a friend will pass once in a while just to be on the safe side

I dont have a desktop at home only laptops. Would this work as well ?

So does that mean the laptop would have to be hardwired to the controller ? Or would the WLAN work as well ?

You will always need one computer be it a laptop or desk top connected to the profilux in one way or another, cabled or WLAN, then all you are doing is connecting to your home computer from a remote place via the internet, once you are connected you have control of you profilux as if you are sat at home.
and as i say above if you have a web cam set up on the home computer you can remote open this to see you aquarium (providing its looking at it)
