Hope you enjoyed the new photos posted above...

It's the same tank and stuff from the first two images posted in this thread but I guess it's mostly about presentation.

A few weeks back I added a Calcium Reactor to the system and a new light fixture (Outer Orbit 2x150watt 10Ks with 4x 39watt T-5 Pure Actinics). System is working great and the chalices are growing like crazy; here's some photos...

Jedi Mind Trick Monti (from Lou at WWC as well)

Flame Thrower Chalice (This is the real deal; I'll try to get a better focused pic of this later) :eek1:

i would go with a little more un-eveness in the rockwork and ad some negative space maybe in the middle for a more natural look the corals look great your tank husbandry appears to be top notch keep it up!

Looks great so far. What type of lighting are you using ?

I know it's funny but it's stock lighting that came with the Outer Orbit... 2x150watt 10k MH and 4x39watt pure actinic T-5s (36" fixture). Running the MHs from Noon to 7PM; the T-5s from 10AM to 9PM. I guess if I want to slow growth down, I'll switch out the 10k for 14k; I think I'll wait a while though.

The new lighting and adding a calcium reactor made a big difference; just switched a few weeks ago from dosing two-part. No more spikes in dKH each day. Calcium is ~385ppm; dKH = ~10.9. Don't think the corals could be happier; polyp extension is always maxed-out.

It's hard to tell from the pics regarding the spacing and stuff; there's a couple of caves but it does need a little help. Believe me, I would rather have a tank with more depth. Also, most of the sps is on one rock; I drilled several holes for the frag plugs. So, it's a little difficult to work with one long rock with 18 different corals on it. Once the coral fills in nicely, it's going to rock, figuratively speaking.

lol, i like the pun. Love the new photos, I am a little chalice crazy so that flame thrower and BGM make me kinda nuts!! I really like the jedi mind trick too, I saw seafansara has one and it looks awesome in her pics. I guess I ought to go ahead and hop in line for frags!! :)

your pic with the flash on really makes it look "meh" but without the flash it looks totally great! I really can't wait to see it grow in for real!
