Giant Cup Mushrooom`

I recently got a Giant Cup Mushroom and my gold band maroon has been relenlessly laying in it. Does anyone have a clown with a Giant cup relationship? I dont know if the clown will eventually kill the mushroom due to contact so i figured i would ask.. thanks for any help.

Giant cup mushrooms (elephant ear mushrooms) have been known to eat clownfish. They slowly close around the clown when it is sleeping and .... no more clown.

Yeah they eat more fish than anemones do for sure!

I had heard the mushroom could eat fish but didn't think it could get the clown.. Ooh boy, well will the gold band will do ok in my 8 gal bio cube?

until it grows to 6" or so... That will become a big fish for a 8G tank... I would say no.
