Giesemann Nova II Wall-Mount Brackets

Hi all,

I'm planning to get a 150w Nova II pendant for my 26g Bowfront, but I'll need to hang the fixture from a set of wall brackets. Giesemann makes them specifically for the Nova, but I can't seem to find their dimensions. My aquarium is 6" away from the back wall, which is where I plan to hang the brackets. It's 15" front to back in the center, so I'd like the pendant to hang about 13.5" or so from the wall.

Does anyone have the Giesemann brackets? How long are they? Are they adjustable? Are they easy to set up? Any issues I might want to be wary of?

Hi,
I have the Giesemann brackets. They are 16.5 inches long. The holes for hanging the lights are at 14.5 inches. Setting them up is simple, just fix to a wall. Height adjusting is done with the hanging wires that come with the light.

John, is there a way to hang the light at 13.5 inches instead of 14.5? 14.5 inches might work for me but I'm concerned about too much light spill over the front of the aquarium.

yes you can just drill another hole in each bracket.

How's the light spread on the Nova? I'm thinking of one for a 24"x24"x24" cube. Also how much increase in temp after adding it?

I run an open top tank... and have observed zero to no temp increase since installing this light. The light spread would be perfect for your 24"x24"x24". Keep it about 8-10" above the surface of the water and I think you'll do great. If you are keeping any type of clams or stony corals, you may even think of getting the 250w version.
