Has anyone ever had an issue putting S. gigantea carpet anemones and Zoanthids together?
I bought a Zoa pack with multiple colors and added them to my tank with my carpet anemone.
He retracted almost immediately as I placed them (and some or their water) into the tank. He then moved about 5 inches away, behind the left rock in the picture.
He looks great today (the next day), ate some krill, and is moving back closer to his original spot but, was half his size and behind the left live rock for several hours after I added the Zoanthids.
I am thinking the Zoas released some kind of a toxin in their water that the carpet immediately reacted to and now, the filtration has removed it.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
