Gigantea under T5?

Just wondering from the owners if there is anyone here keeping a Gig under T5? If not, what do you have them under. I know there is one here under LED...Gary? Mingh?..I think Elegance has one too... What are you guys keeping them under?

Call me crazy but I've kept a gig under 4 t5s for a couple years. I may just be lucky, but I hear they do normally require much more light.

I'm old school so I use MH. I've kept them under 175 and 250W. I have used supplemental actinics, but right now, I'm just running 14K 250W MH's.

think you referenced me regarding my gigantea being kept under LEDs.

can't give PAR stats but it has been great under LEDs FWIW.

Reading about yours was one of the several reasons I'm going/gone to LED's with mine. Only a few days of LED so far, but nem is 24" under the water surface, the fixture is hung 12-14" above the water surface, nem is very happy, "vibrates" a lot more with LED than with 250 watt MH. My nem's response is why I'm going all LED's now. My MH bulbs are also 9 months old, so that may have something to do with it too. I'm ditching all my MH.

I've never tried one with T5's. If I were to guess, I'd think they could be happy with T5 if close enough, depending on the reflectors, ballast, and bulbs.
