Gigantea w/foot tear

I had to move this guy out of qt/TT tonight because I cracked my 10g tank. I moved him to the DT and he seams to be settling in ok. It has attached to the sand/rock interface. It has never deflated and the mouth has never opened. So besides the tears its health. It did get three days of cipro though to try and prevent any infections from getting in the tears. Should I leave it in the DT ppermanently or move it back to qt tomorrow when I can get another one? I've read several threads where people have accidently tore them and they recoved just fine bit this scares me as its my first gigantea.

Monitor him very close, I would place him in a glass bowl if you wish to monitor in your DT so if he deflates you can pull immediately without stress. This is going to be an uphill battle more then likely as the only tears I have seen on gigs recover are by antibiotics and it is very touch and go whether they will make it at this point.

Keep him in the DT and observe. All that moving around may stress the crap out of him and do more harm then good. If he goes downhill, pull him.
