Just bought my QT Skimmer, got a used Super Reef Octopus 1,000 Internal
I'm just getting some bulkheads and other misc stuff to begin the project, spending never ends in this hobby.

I started adding a cleanup crew... I was getting a little bored of looking at rock, sand, & water.

I added 10 cleaner shrimp, 6 fire shrimp, 10 trochus snails, & 10 nassarius snails.

Thanks Juan. The corals are growing, not as fast as I would like, but hopefully I can start stocking once I get the light racks made. Thanks for all your help w/the various versions. I think we're up to 5.0 no ?

I just got the two 20lb tanks filled w/C02 today and just need to hook up the calcium reactor...expect a pm.

Can you give me any info on the shoal grass? Does it go sexual, is there any way it can make its way to the display and become a problem. Everything is looking great.

Hi Brett,

Yes, it's great seeing some life in there. I plan on getting a school of sealy cardinalfish next and then a harem of McCoskers wrasse. This will give some time to figure out what species of anthias I want (thanks for your advice).

The sea grass will not go sexual nor is it evasive. They do require strong light and water movement.

I picked up 10 Seale cardinalfish and 6 McCoskers wrasse from my buddy Mike (via Quality Marine).

I used Dr. Tim's First Defense and Microbacter7 (due to a small nitrate reading) and did a good size water change. Do you recommend treating with Prazipro or anything else ? I also fed them some PE mysis and H20 brine w/spirulina (soaked in selcon, vitachem, & garlic).
