Some of you may remember this one......

Looks like a rainbow fungia plate is not worth $5000 after all...... or $1800 for that matter. I know some corals sell for ALOT of money (I've been guilty of buying some), but I'm glad to see it hasn't gone completely of the charts for the most part. Nice coral, probably for no more than one-tenth of that final price though.

I wonder why its locked? my 2¢; look what happens when an Ultra Grade Aussie Super Indian Maze Corn Winker Turdinator isn't shill bid to crazy proportions. Sorry, but the person who pulled it from the sea would live very nicely on that kind of money, considering they likely got about 25¢ for it.

Mods likely locked it because the selling threads aren't supposed to be so long-running. The poster was setting a price and saying that if nobody took it for that price that he would just keep it. Everytime however, nobody would bite on the price obviously, and so he kept lowering it despite what he said. Selling threads are meant for putting an item up, and when it sells, thread is closed. If not sold after a certain amount of time, the thread is usually closed, and the seller has another opportunity to start a selling thread for the same item a few months down the road.

wait...seriously...is this happen alot? selling corals at thousands of dollars? i feel that for $3000 you could probably hand pick it yourself out of the ocean
