Glass Cages

Lonnie has had one and is in the process of setting up his second.

I doubt he would have bought the second if he wasn't happy with the first!

I think he said that the only complaint ( if you want to call it that ) was that the silicon job could have been a little "cleaner" but it was nothing that a razor blade couldn't fix.

Our live rock tank is a GC tank, it is built like a tank.

I would not buy one unless a wall hid how hideous it looks.

Really! Neither one of mine have been that bad. Yes a little sloppily with the silicone but like Greg said nothing a Razor blade wont fix.

There are quite a few of us in St. Louis that have them. And I don't think there are to Many of them upset with their tank.

Mine works great and most importantly it holds water.

I think that's Nook's second favorite type of tank..........

His favorite is the one's that don't hold water though.

BTW, where did he go?

I've got one and have had zero problems with it. I agree with the sloppy silicone though....Nothing that a razor didn't remedy.

why would you want to spend your hard earned money on something that you had to clean up after you got it home. you should have to razorblade their lazyness- just my opnion.

I have been very pleased with mine. Like everybody says, razor a little silicone here and there and it's fine. I saved a bundle on it over the Oceanic I was going to order and have never regreted it. As a side note though, when dealing with Tom, know exactly what you want and draw it out with demensions etc. if you are getting custom work. He is a really nice guy but pretty business like. He just makes tanks, not friends. I think that is why some people don't like him or his tanks. He'll make you whatever you want though and it will be rock solid when he's done. I spoke with him once about the "extra" silcone he uses and he looked at me and kinda smiled, and said flatly "they don't leak though". I guess thats a good point.

One thing I will say is that I was able to get an ALL-GLASS 210 XH reef ready for around $750, which was only $150 more than I paid for my 240XH GC tank.....It was from a place called Seaworld pets over in wood river, IL. I don't ever shop there but they gave me the best deal on a tank way back then and every time I've priced stuff out they were always the cheapest....
