glass cleaner

vinegar water + newspaper or paper towels, newspaper is best for a streak free finish IMO.

just looking for a safe glass cleaner. so if any1 has any suggestions let me know please

Inside or outside glass?

+1 on vinegar/rodi mix for outside, I use it like a spray on wax. I have one towel that is the wet towel and then one towel that is the dry towel I use for buffing the glass. Works better than ANY commercial cleaner IMO.

On the outside of our tank here I just use RODI water and a squeegee, takes off the salt and fingerprints without any issues at all.

if you're talking outside glass i usually do the following:

1.) wipe down with water to get any dried salt off
2.) buff with dry paper towel
3.) windex
4.) buff with dry paper towel

i spray the windex on the paper towel, then wipe the tank with it, not the other way around.

i should probably get a little squeegee though. that would probably be way faster.

Most sensible window cleaning products are safe if you spray the cloth in a different room and watch not to drip into your sump. Something really fumy is not a good idea, but the main thing is---don't spray anything around your tank or sump.

+1

I use a MagFloat for the inside of my tank 2 sides and front. I use a long handle scrubber for the back glass as I have it painted black and can reach the outside back of my tank.

I stopped using the mag float after it scratched the living crap out of my glass.

Tunze care magnet is the best glass cleaner IMO and is the same price as the mag float. Aside from having a tiny bar to use to maneuver the cleaner, there really isn't a bad thing about it.
