Glass or acrylic

I've read acrylic due to the seams on a glass tank not being able hold the pressure over time. Acrylic is amazing but scratches sooooo easy. It's easy to buff out though. I vote acrylic.

Most go for acrylic with a tank that size. The thickness of the glass required would effect clarity. Also with the thickness of the glass weight is an issue as well.

That sounds like about 600 gallons. 96x38x38=138624 cubit inches. 138624 / 231 in3/gal=600.

That will be heavy in glass.

Have you every had a tank that was 38 inches deep? I have a 36 inch deep tank. I put enough substrate in to make it about 30 inches. I got tired of the front always looking bad. (Now if I would just keep it clean) I can reach it now. It is a matter of doing it. Ha! HA!!
