Glass scraper

So my mag float is about dead, I am looking to replace it and I see BRS sells a piranha scraper, I also noticed they are rather pricey compared to mag floats.

Does anyone have experience with these, are they much better than mag floats.

Have you tried cleaning your old one? Now and then I soak the wet side of mine in white vinegar for a couple of hours and give both sides a good brushing with a stiff bristle brush.

No i haven't, but that's a good idea, it seems the velcro material of the wet side has lost it's effectiveness.

I think I remember seeing somewhere that you can buy replacement pads for the mag floats

I have a piranha and I've really liked it so far. Looks better than a mag if you're just leaving it there all the time.
