glass scratch!

Hey all,

Can anyone recommend a DIY system to polish out some surface scratch inside my tank? The tank is completely empty.

I searched the forums but finding different and various opinions of it can be done but no one showing how to do it.

If can't be done can anyone make a recommendation for someone who can do it in the Long Island, ny area?

You could try cerium oxide and a Dremel felt pad. Results depend on how deep the scratches are...

If you can feel it with a fingernail...get used to it..

If not you have a chance to polish it out

Polishing it out may result in more damage.
I would rather try to fill it in with one of those resins they use for car-glass repair.

Sure... Unlikely to be helpful on a scratch though...A chip sure...scratches..unlikely

If the scratch is deep enough it may stick. I would definitely give it a shot before starting grinding and trying to polish glass.
