Glass Shops in Rochester

Can anyone give me a recommendation on a glass shop? I have some 1/2" thick plate glass pieces about 24" square that I would like to get edged. The edges are chipped in a few places. Just trying to get an idea of cost. Do they charge by the length?

I've used a foam sanding block with emery cloth. If not too bad, and your not looking for cosmetic perfection, give it a try. It will break sharp edges to allow for safe handling.

I just got 1/4" baffles made for our sump from Mr. Glass. I was happy with the final product and they were done fast, and for what I thought was a reasonable price (after calling around to 2 other shops that wanted 2X the amount). I couldn't tell you about pricing for what you're having done, but give them a call.

I think I followed the phone prompts to get to their "residential" desk. The couple of folks I spoke to there were very friendly and helpful.

Hope that helps!

thanks guys - this is beyond a little sanding. These were reject glass panels from machines and a couple have pretty large chips. I'm also trying to make them to the right dimensions. I need probably 1/4" to 3" taken off each edge.
