glass tank builder

Lee Mar would be first choice. You could order one through Vivid in Canoga Park, or from SocalTropical in Fullerton. I just saw one that was going out to a customer, still in wraps, at Vivid last weekend. They seem to have customer ordered tanks coming through there on a regular basis.

How large are we talking?

I've set up tanks for friends from many different manufacturers. Lee-Mar is best. Stay away from imitations!

will leemar make one starfire 96x48x30 or 120x48x30?

i thought i checked years ago through a dealer and they didn't make ones that big.

I've received quotes from Lee Mar for the following:
96 x 30 x 24 Euro tank
120 x 30 x 24 Euro tank

They should be able to do the 120x48x30 with several center braces.

can any of you Lee Mar tank holders show some photos?

is there any kind of bracing at the edges of the tank or is all the glass only held together with silicone sealant?

how are overflows attached or created? i can't imagine teeth like on an acrylic tank. is there a cut out along the overflow side that has eggcrate or similar material to keep fish out of the overflow?

Lee Mar used to make rimless tanks up to 24", but now they will do rimless tanks only up to 20" in height, from what I have read:

Lee Mar specializes in Euro-bracing, which is a 2-3" glass brace that runs the perimeter of the aquarium, with a gap over the (trapezoidal) overflow. Some Lee Mar tanks have corner overflows that are triangular. They build in regular float glass or low-iron glass.

Here is a picture of someone's small (euro-braced, regular glass) tank:

Here is a link to a larger rimless tank (corner overflow) with nice detail pictures:

Lee Mar do not do external overflows from what I understand.

how does one get in touch with Lee Mar? Looking for a 20"x20"x20" rimless with internal overflow box. Where is it located? Thanks!

lee-mar is a tank builder and only deals wholesale. Most of the local fish stores can order through them. As stated above, Vivid, SoCalTropical, and PTF are three off the top of my head. Charlie at fish tank factory works through lee-mar alot as well..
