GlennF's 1500 liter mixed reef tank

I have seen comatulas also at your dymico system. Are they going better in there?

And one more irrelevant with the above question. What is your thought -opinion of the importance of Mn and Zn in our systems?

The comatulas in dymico past the 10 months line, because dymico have more food available due to heavy feeding.

Imo Less is more....
That's why i think my tank is a unconventional succes. People seems to think adding things improve result.
Mn do improven some gonioporas species.
Zn i have not testen with...i am open minded an of anyone can give me a reasonable angle to test for, i can conduct this test.

That is great. Do they hide most of the time or are they relatively active?

Hi GlennF - I'd like to ask a question but I'm not sure how because I don't want it to sound like I'm judging so please accept my apology ahead of time if it comes out wrong. If "I" understand correctly the longest you kept them for is 10 months?

My question is how long do they typically live naturally? If longer than why try to keep in home aquaria? I know this happens a lot with our hobby so was just asking. They are very attractive and add a nice color and oddity / uniqueness. I'm just not sure if it is practical due to the feeding requirements and longevity.

Like I said, it is just a question not me not being judgmental so thanks for your opinion/answer. Advanced aquaria is also perfectly fine :D

I realy don't know how long they live in wild.
For me it's a hobby.
If i would not have extended my skills, I would have stick with couplen of nemo's and an anemone and quited long time ago.

So i think for me it's a challenge to extend my horizon and enjoy this hobby in the meanwhile.

I don't much care about discussion what we can or can't keep in out reeftank. That's for each individual to decide for themself.

So far it seems i have come further than the average reefer with my stubborn ways. This tell me i am on the right track
