i believe i read on garf's yesterday about non-toxic glue that could be applied underwater. i may be mistaken, i cant seem to find it now. heck! it could have been here on RC, cant remember. has anyone seen this item? "im having a blonde moment" as my wife says. lol! thanx for your help and REEF-ON!

I use Gel Super Glue found at Lowes. I beleive locktite makes it and I have glues ALOT of stuff. It comes in a gray odd shaped bottle with blue sides. Just make sure you get the gell kind. You are safe with that glue to use.

yea almost any gel superglue works good , make sure its gel. you can also use an apoxy that any lfs sells to secure lager items.this makes your skimmer aked funny tho and may need to turn off for 24 hours.

cool, thanx ya'll. if its (superglue) cyanoacrylate, its safe. that one i do know, and use. ive noticed that some LFS here offer "REEF-SAFE EPOXY" for about 4X's the price of the same item in Lowes or HD. just checkin this one out, it was about $5.99 for 1 tube. i pay $.99 at Dollar General for 2 tubes. i've never known you could use it underwater. i didnt think it would stick if it was applied to wet surfaces. i.e. LR in tank.. have a great extended weekend & REEF-ON!

AquaMend is the tank-safe epoxy that you can buy at Home Depot. I think there is only one brand (green label), but make sure it says it is safe.

It will cure underwater or in air. I find that it isn't that sticky, but still works well for gluing stony corals to rock.
