Gluing Frags

I usually go to home depot and buy the 4oz. tube of super glue gel. The one's at the dollar store are ok but have gotten a few tubes with almost nothing in them. When I use it I first figure out where I want to mount it and then i dab the bottom of the coral dry with a towel and add the super glue wait about 20 sec. and then put it where i want to mount it move it in a circular motion and once the glue grabs and starts to set i hold it in place for about 30-45 seconds. Works every time.......

If you have a hobby store nearby, check it for the CA gel. Usually it's cheaper and fresher than at a big box store - the stuff loses potency over time, so don't buy 4oz unless you use a lot. 1oz or 2oz might be enough for occasional frags on a smaller tank.

Also, keep it in the fridge, it'll last much longer.

Buy a few spare tips when you get it (they'll have them at the hobby store, not sure about big box stores) and be sure to clean the tip out with a needle or pin after each fragging session.

Yes, seriously!

If you're using it within a few months of opening, you probably won't notice. Or, if you've bought old, stale glue to begin with, it probably won't make a difference. But if you get your hands on fresh stuff and want to keep it fresh, the 'fridge is the right place.
