I have a 40 gal. breeder set up and have several gobies. Today I was doing a partial water change and saw my Tiger Goby had the circus goby half swallowed! Now the tiger is 5" or so and the circus is only about 1.5", but I did a lot of research before stocking most gobies are able to be mixed without any problems. I'm not sure if the tiger grabbed the circus or maybe the circus goby was having problems or was gone before he ate him.
I wasn't to bothered as the circus hides and I could only see him briefly when he darts out to grab a bit during feeding. I was thinking about trying to catch him, but anybody with landscaped tank knows that is all but impossible, so the tiger goby really did me a favor. I guess it just goes to show if a bigger fish can get a smaller one in it's mouth it's game on..
