Goby Compatibility Question

I know some other type of fish such as Tangs and Angels are not supposed to be together. I was wondering if the same goes for gobies? I am thinking of getting a few.

Different species of gobies should be able to coexist in a reef tank pending they are introduced to a tank w/ plenty of live rock consisting of crevices and caves and the size of the tank plays a big roll...what gobies did you have in mind?

Are you asking about groups of gobies or general compatability? If you mean groups of the same species there are many families that live in pairs or groups like dartfishes, neon gobies, shrimp gobies, ect.

Look a little cautiously if you have two gobies that occupy the same niche, or that look too much alike. There might be some nipping.

OTOH, the yellow watchman threatens EVERYONE, seldom nips, and just doesn't fight. He nabbed my mandarin's fin and tail, and now the mandarin [being a mandarin and oblivious] just nudges him over if he spots a pod the YWG is sitting on.
