goby fin rot?

I have two randall's gobies and today I noticed one of their fins is losing tissue and there is a slight pink substance almost like gum around the missing tissue. Could this be from attack or disease? When I get home I'll try to post pics. Thank you.

Sounds like fin rot to me. Remove to quarantine and treat with Furan2 or Maracyn2.

ok, I began treating but the fish looks like its doing very badly, breathing heavily and his fins continue to dissapear. I will continue treatment as prescribed hoping he pulls through. If not, thank god for 14 day alive guarantees.

You usually have to treat these things when they first appear. Hopefully he will pull through.
