goby missing

i saw my shrimp goby last night...and now i don't know where it is...do your gobies ever go mia?...mine usually jus stays right outside of it's hole...

Alot of my fish have literally disappered with out a trace.

i checked around the tank...and it didn't jump...i have a full cover too...maybe i got squashed under a rock...i guess i'm jus gonna wait a couple of days, hopefully it comes out before i have to bulldoze the tank...

Don't bother bulldozing the tank. After a couple of days a goby will have become lunch for your clean up crew.

More likely it'll show up in a day or two. If they're spooked it's not unusual for them to hide for a while.

Whatever you do, don't start moving rock around looking for it. If it's alive, it will show up. If it's dead your cleaning crew has already disposed of the body.

Don't get another for about 6 months: they can hide that long, and if you dump another of his kind in there, you're going to get one of them killed. He'll very likely turn up again.

Do check the downflow box. I think I have one in there, myself, and am going to take some things apart doing a goby hunt. I cleaned the downflow intake screens, and think he got past me.

i have a gobie missing once in a while but normally he's in the rocks. he comes out to eat after a while. i did have cromie die on me. he was missing and when i looked through the rocks i found him dead in one of the holes. that was weird never figure out what happend.

i've had fish missing so long i forgot i ever had them and then they show up and i go ?????where'd that come from????

I was missing my false perc in my BC 14 for about a day. After I got tired of looking for him I checked my window to see if I needed to top off my water and found him looking at me through the window. He had jumped into my third chamber (or first chamber, whatever you call it. The one where the pump goes).

I have a pink spott goby that was around then went missing for about a week.. I found him again under a rock where he made his home

lol...ok...i'll jus leave it alone for a while...it's weird cuz i covered my tank for a couple of days to get rid of the cyano...then turned on the light and saw it dart to the back of the tank...not out of the tank tho...since it got scared i haven't seen it since...
