Going from standard 55 gallon tank to 260 gallon tank.

So here it goes. It may sound crazy but I installed 6 - 320 lbs casters under the cabinet. There is a 1/4" gap between the wood and the floor (this is only to move it around the garage and inside the house when ready) I will level the tank once in final place.
Now my 90 lbs wife can move the tank and my back is saying tank you.
I also cleaned the tank with water and vinegar (about 2 hours).

Wow, I know exactly what your going through right now. Mine started Black Friday of last year. Finally got it running first week of January.

Did you decide on your plumbing, sump, and skimmer? You are welcome to come by and get ideas.

I recommend Savco plumbing. Heard home depot valves can spring a leak in time.

Keep up the nice work!

I'm picking up the reeflo glod pump from Liquidcowboy on Friday that will push the corner return and the skimmer.

Josh is hooking me up with a 70 gallon tank and a ETSS 800 XR
skimmer. once i have that i will need help configuring the sump and the pluming.

i will also need a second pump for the close loop. Yes i will be drilling the tank with 2 returns and 8 supplys (3 on top back glas and 4 on the bottom glass)

Need some help... I'm thinking of drilling the tank for a close loop system (I'm going with a open top look) can you guys give me some inputs if this is a good idea or not.?

there will be 1 1/2" Supply to a 2400 GPH + pump and 8 - 3/4" returns.

4 returns on the top
4 returns on the bottom

i will also have 2 returns from the main sump.

Open top look. Does that mean, no canopy?

Wow, that looks complicated.

Are you using those top holes on the back for flow? Or are you going to hide them with rocks?

I still dont see the point of closed loop. Its doesnt filter anything, it circlulates water.

Put a Mp 60 on the sides and one on back, and get some real flow up in there!

Stain looks good.

I need a HP pump that will push the ETSS (600 to 900 GPH)

Next i will work on the pipes from the Sump to the the main tank

quick question, how will you stop the sump from emptying if you take the dart off of the union? I think you need a shutoff valve between sump and pump/skimmer.

I agree after looking at the install I made some adjustment to fit 2 shutoff valves one for the dart and one for the skimmer pump only not the return for the skimmer that's gravity.

I'm will post pictures once is complete.

I have also added a 8 port power strip recess into the stand.
