Going on vacation, what do you think??

Hey everyone, I am new to this hobby and am going on vacation for two weeks. I have a 14 gal. biocube that has been established for about 3 months. I currently have a maroon clown, bubble coral, cabbage leather, and several turbo snails, and hermits. Back to the vacation... I would really hate to leave the clown with no food, and even better wouldnt mind taking him with me. My idea is to put him in one of those small animal houses, the kind you can keep anything in with the vented top. I would think if I changed the water out every day or two he would be fine....Please respond with your thoughts, THANKS!!!!

Personally I think that is bad idea, it reminds me of a disney movie with the kid in the back seat of the car holding his fish in the container driving down the road. I think your fish has a better rate of survival in the tank then going on your vacation and thats not good. He definitly needs to be feed too! Do you not have anyone who could feed this little guy while you are away, that is all you need, no water changes or anything technical! Just feed! Who takes your mail in, who collects your news papers, is there not anyone who will take care of nemo!!!???!!!!

I live on an army post, and all my friends are going on leave too, that is why i thought of bringing him with me. i do agree that this might be a bad idea, maybe i will look into an automatic feeder.... thanks for your input!

The other option, if possible is a trusted local fish store might baby sit, Trusted is the key word!! A feed would work too, do not get the disolving pyramids, if they still make them- very bad! get an automated one.

Anybody else have an idea? Also, how bad will the corals be without plankton supplement for 2 weeks?

I go to school and am currently leaving my tank 1500 miles away for an automatic feeder. I have never had any trouble doing this, just make sure to set the feeder to the lowest setting or there will be WAY too much food.

Awesome! Thanks everybody, any thoughts on the corals though? I dont know if they would make it for 2 weeks with no phyto...?
