Going to Atlantis this weekend

Just got off the phone with them and reserved a piece of the Oregon Tort. I've been waiting for this piece for soooooo long. Since I got my new lights in last week and the hood built over the weekend, and the skimmer to be built some time this week, I thought it was perfect timeing for them to release a couple of these frags. If anyone wants something picked up for them I can do it. However, you would have bring me the cash sometime befor Fri. night (which between work and school might be easier said than done), and meet me on Sat. when we return.

Hey Dave,

Damn! I've been wanting an Oregon Tort frag for awhile. What's the story on the Atlantis version? It doesn't say on their site, but is it also a Steve Weast Oregon Tort.

Regards,

Karl

I'm actually driving down there with David. If any of you wanted us to pick you up anything, you can also PM me with contact info. Maybe between Dave's schedule and mine we can meet up with you guys before we leave to collect the $. We also would appreciate it if you could pick the order up from us on Saturday afternoon/evening when we return, we both have rather small tanks and cannot hold much spare livestock, we could call you on our way back to Sac to let you know a good pick up time.

I didn't ask him about liniage, but I'm assuming it the one from Steve Weast. I'll ask while I'm down there. The pic shows all the right characterists with the large, long bottle brush coralites and the intense blue color. exoticreefs.us has a frag on their website also, but they want more, and it doesn't look like most O.Torts that I've seen, but that could be because they are only showing a pic of the frag.

The O.Tort is what made me want to keep SPS. When I first got into the hobby I didn't want to keep SPS because I thought LPS showed more life. But after seeing a frag of it, I was in awe, and I've been working my way towards it...can't wait untill this weekend..It's almost more exciting than Christmas...lol.

I've got my fingers crossed. They had two frags one was about 1/2" and the other just a little bigger. I decided to go with the smaller of the two frags just because it looked a little healthier. but I've got to say the thing is as royal blue as can be in my tank. I also found a green with pink poylp coral that looks like what exoticreefs has as their pink lemonaid acro for $40... I'm kind of excited about it, it's really nice looking. I spend about 6 hours yesterday putting in my new rock, planning the frag attachment, and then glueing about 15 sps frags to the new rock. I did get rid of all but one frag tray (I'll be offering the remaining couple frags up for the meeting some time soon)

I've got to say that Atlantis and Aquatic Gallery blew me away. They both had more coral than you could shake stick at, and it all looked great.

Aquatic Gallery blew me away.

I was just there last Friday. You have to hand it to Bao. He always hires attractive employees for the register:p

John...take note;)
