Going to Bahamas

Planning on doing some scuba/snorkeling. Is there anyway to take home some critters. I live in NYC so the plane ride is about 3/4 hrs. I also have no idea what customs would do.

Any thought would be great.

went there in April and let me tell you I found tons of stuff without even going diving. Saw amazing snails, crabs, etc. I was so tempted to grab some stuff but I didnt want it to die. Any help would be great.

What are the best area's to dive there??? Did you get a chance to find that out???

From what I was told http://www.stuartcove.com/ is by far the best place to dive. Book with them before you arrive to save a few bucks. They will pick you up and drop you off at the hotel.

We dove with Stuart Cove on '06. Yah, it's a busy place, but they have it down to a science. Lots of fun!!! The shark feed is awesome.

I highly recommend Stuart's Cove and doing one of their shark dives. We took a 3 stop trip with them (snorkeling). First two stops were reefs and the last was the sharks. It was one of the coolest things I have ever done. Here are some pics from the trip.

No. I can't imagine how tough it would be getting through customs with live animals. Not to mention on an airplane. They confiscated my wife's hairspray!
