Going to National's "officially"

Well I made the cut out of the 15 or so Ohio poultry judges and now I leave on Tuesday for nationals along with three other people. Together we represent Ohio against the nation. I will let you know when I get back how I did. Just thought you would want to know :). Thanks, Tim
 
Congrats! On a related note, how are you with turkeys? Thanksgiving is at my house this year and I need a bird to feed 8. Is juiciness one of the judging categories at Nationals? =)
 
Thanks everyone. Nationals is held in Louisville, KY so not too far away. I will let you know how both the team and I do but now back to work scrambling to make sure everything is going to be okay while I am gone :)!

Just for clarification I am not taking any of my birds down there so much as I will go down and compete. The competition will consist of the following:
Grade:
External eggs
Internal eggs
Broken out eggs
Hens and give oral reasoning about placement
Turkey carcasses
Chicken Carcasses

Label different cuts of meat and parts.

This is what the USDA graders do to make sure that good quality food goes to your table.

I forgot to bump this up with the update so here it is:
Ohio placed 5th overall we also received a 2nd 6th 8th and individually I placed about 27th. Thanks, Tim
