going to need a new pump for the 58

doing my maintance to day and when I plugged the pump back up nothing so after removal I found the impeller had a metal cover over the magnet and it was rusted up so I removed the cover and the pump started again but I figured it was a short timmer I don't know what type it is but it has gx-2400 on it and a pic of a clownfish maybe in front of a coral or something so I need suggestions on type and size I am just guessing but maybe around 600 gallons (10x turnover) looking for 1. quiet 2. durability and parts availability 3. wattage in that order thanx
 
I like Quiet One pumps... Great value for the money... Tunze makes decent pumps (expensive)... Eheim makes great pumps (just as pricey)... I know a lot of members use Mag Drive pumps...

MaxiJet (marineland) released a return pump last year that might meet your needs too... IMO they're a bit too expensive... For the price they want I'd get an Eheim or Tunze...

Not sure if that helps you decide, but I guess it gives you a few to look at... ;) LMK if you have any more questions...
 
I was actually looking at quiet 1 pumps but I hadn't heard any feed back on them I have a mag 18 on the 180 so far with good results
 
lol They must have just updated it... :D I have to pace an order there too... Too bad you're on the other side of Knox... ;)
