Going to the LFS tomorrow.. What fish would you suggest?

I have a 28 bowfront setup right now with a Purple Firefish, Red Banded Goby, and Bangaii Cardinal. I plan on purchasing a skunk cleaner shrimp tomorrow, and a fish. But I do not know what fish would be good for my tank! The fish I have had in mind are- Ocellaris or Percula. Fridmani Pseudochromis. Six Line. Flame or Coral Beauty. Royal Gramma. What would you suggest for this tank? What I am leaning towards is the Pseudo and a clown. Is it big enough for a dwarf angel? And how reef safe are they considered? From what I understand its about 50/50. How many more fish could I add? Thanks guys, I am semi-noob! Figured I would ask before I come home with something and am over my head!!:D

The clowns are always a nice addition, it is an added benefit if you also give them an anemone. I like royal grammas, they are nice looking fish, also a bit cheaper than a clown.

As far as an angel fish, your right, any angel is 50/50. But it does suck if it doesn't work out they can be a little tough to catch. As far as a six line, they are also cheaper fish they will stay out a good portion of the day. They like to eat bugs in the tank, so I am not sure you have enough rock to sustain them. Mine does eat frozen foods like mysis and brine, so you could supplement their diet.

If I was to be picking it out, I would go with a clown and an anemone. It is awesome to watch a clown within the anemone. If you do go with the clown and anemone, it may take some time for them to hook up, mine took about 4 months and I had a LTA (long tentacle anemone) and they never went in it. After reading up on it, I found they usually host in a BTA (bubble tip anemone) so I got one of them also, and that took about 2 weeks and they were in it, also the same day they took to the LTA.

Good luck, and just make sure you know how big any fish you choose will get and their diet.

Just my 2 cents,
Fuzz

Good thing to check in advance...I'd recommend making the tentative decision and then doing plenty of research on the fish. Of the ones you listed, I'd avoid the Pseudochromis as being a bit too aggressive for the firefish in a fairly small tank. Royal grammas can also get nasty...I don't personally like to mix Atlantic/Caribbean fish with Pacific species

Either of the clowns would fit in fine. Six lines (in my opinion) are a great addition and don't get too large--but they can sometimes take a liking to small shrimp. Either of the dwarf angels can be hit or miss with corals (Flames are more likely to be a problem; CBs are more predictably mellow) Do you have any corals?

All of that said, you may be pushing the limits of the 28, especially if the tank is a bit young. Don't push it...once it is "full" you won't be able to have the fun of choosing another...

The tank is an Lps reef. Right now there is only a few corals in there. Hopefully it will fill out soon. I think I am going to get a clown and cleaner tomorrow. I am going to stay away from an anemone, as I do not want the burden on my back. Maybe it will host my frogspawn! Think I can add anything after the clown? Would the CB + clown be to much? Just teh CB? I want one centerpiece nice fish!
