Gold torch coloring

I have been reading a lot on the coloring of gold torches. I really don't know whats wrong. It was a bright orange when I first got it but now its a dull brownish ? it is on the sand bed with a reef breeders photon over it.

Those tips look bleached. How intense are you running your reefbreeders channels? While I am still acclimating things, I have chs 1 & 2 topping at 30% and 25% respectively for the time being, with all corals thriving.

Also wondering about your test kits. My tentacles turned more purple when my nitrates crept up and are now all yellow/orange that they are very low.

My nitrates have always been 20-40 ppm measured with Salifert or API. Anything < 20 ppm and I see bleaching. I feel like my corals simply adapted to the 20 or so nitrates and anything less or anything that throws this number down too rapidly is more harm than good.
