i bought a goldflake angel a few days ago that has been in the fish store for more than a month( i literally waited for several weeks to make sure he's gonna live), very active and eats like a pig with no signs of ick at the fish store, but today when i got home i noticed some ick on the fins so am really worried right now, he's still active and eats pretty much anything (even formula 1 & 2 pellets, brine, mysis,krill,marine cuisine etc) i try to feed him often whenever i can to boost his immune system. i was thingking of treating him before in a separate tank but i only have a 10 gallon tank that has water and ready to go. what do you guys think should i do?

Had him for 4 days now. He's in a 60g reef (mostly soft corals) with a mystery wrasse, pair of black & white clowns, flame hawk and flame angel. Nobody bothers him at all. He's not as active as he was a few days ago but still eats a variety of food. Just came back from Aquarium Concepts and was advised to use NO-ICH(reef safe) in the tank, which i did... hopefully everything goes well

I agree with Nich. We have "beaten" ich through time.. good water quality, top notch diet and stable conditions (temp, salinity, etc). We used Ruby Reef kick-ich a while back, but I am not sure if that has "fallen out of favor" now or not. But as Psionicdragon stated, your whole tank is infected. The parasites will spread to your other fish, possibly even if they are in perfect health.
About the angel itself, I read that a 100 gal tank is the bare minimum and that they recommend 200 or better due to their evnetual adult size. A smaller tank could stress it further and cause another ich outbreak

if the LFS was using copper or lowered salinity in their FO tanks it could explain why a present crypto infection was held at bay - it is common practice to run low salinity levels in retail stores.
don't panic, let him have a chance to get over it before doing anything rash. treatment for the infected fish will take much time and effort, and even then when reintroduced it may have another outbreak (it can never be completely eliminated). I suggest you concentrate on building his immune system with proper diet/environment.

I don't mind people giving advice, but when saying "the only proven cures are" and "your tank is infected", you are the one giving the advice, so you are being an idiot. Saying, "I heard this", or "I read this" is accurate and apropriate, that way when you relay completly false and potentialy dangerous information you are not accountable (see above).

Ich is like the common cold - - tanks cannot be "infected" with it is always present. It is when fish are kept in sub par conditions they suffer from it
