Gona be Scuba Diving in Rockford Sat, any shops to visit?

Going to be up near Rockford Scuba Diving Saturday and was wondering if there is any good fish shops, I hope to swing southward and hit up Rods (on way back to Aurora)

First where are you going diving?
I understand the lake by my other houses is pretty sweet to dive in, though I have never been. As for shops...we drive to Chicago area, or buy from other reefers out here. I have heard good things about the new place in Maringo, can't recall the name. Other than that we have Petco, Petland, and Pet Smart

Exotic Pets is in Marengo. Not too bad. I have not been in there recently I will try and stop in during my lunch hour.

Get there early ,and have a 6ML suit with a hood when the people start diving visibilty goes quickly the plane is cool if you can see it . And it gets cold !!!! below 25 feet

Thanks for the tips, I got my open water cert there, I did see the plane my dad wants me to go on the far end and see the 'tiles'??

I'm renting a 6ml suit with hood, gona be hard coming out of 50degree water to 95degree outside (before heat index)

Dunno where the Tiles are but you get a map of all the stuff as you probably know. have fun stay safe
