Goni Help

Hello RC,

I purchased a green goni about two months back. It was doing great for a while. Recently it took a nose dive. Any help of what could be the cause?

It was not extending for a few days, now it is but looks like above. I'm wondering if I have to move it to lower flow. Thanks everyone!

I had one for a while too. Six months, no problem. Full polyp extension and looked happy all around. Then one day, just shrunk and wouldn't extend. There have been numerous studies and research about them - for some reason they don't do well in captivity. Consider it a "rent-a-coral"

I've had two red for close to a year now and they are doing very well. Where do you have it located? how much flow and light does it get? do you spot feed it?

stay away from green gonis go with red or pink will last longer have 1 green and 1 pink but lost 1 other green about a month ago just started receeding from bottom up

I have a green goni and have read that iron is important for them. I have no evidence to back this up but may be helpful.

Sorry for the long delay. I wonder if Iron could be important. Has anyone found what flow or lighting would be best. I have small frags of red and white in another tank. They seem to like low flow and medium light the best.
