goniastrea help

I got a goniastrea several months ago and it had been doing ok. But it has taken a turn for the worse. The eyes are still bright green but the tissue I between is bleached out. Now I am starting to see some tissue recession around the edges. I dipped it in melafix. Is there anything else to try? Is it a to late to save?

My alk is on the low side but stable at 7.5 dkh. Last time I checked my mag it was at 1320. I'll do a test now and see where they are at.

Has your tank had any big temp swings? I think thats one of the corals thats sensative that way.

Ok so I tested my alk cal and mag. Alk still 7.5 cal 400 mag 1300.

As far as temp swings I think I have been good. I picked up a temp controller at the last meet to help as well. I think I have about 1.5-2F swing on hot days like yesterday.

This guy has been going down hill slowly for awhile. As you can see from the picture it is on the sand bed. Do you think he needs to be moved up the rock work? The other LPS seem to be doing well.

Looks like the one behind him is doing the same? Seems your levels are a little low across the board but still very acceptable. I would mabe try and give him a little less light for a few days, mabe under a ledge or something. If they are stressed out, blasting them with more light I dont think will be beneficial. Just my 2 cents

Thanks for the input I have a little ledge I can put him under and see how he does. The one behind him is actually doing quite well. I think the picture just makes him look bad. Here is a picture of it. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338664773.134450.jpg
