Gonna try it again this year...

This time last year we attempted to go to the Ga. aquarium. It wasn't a special trip just to go there, we go to a supercross race there about every year and we were gonna go the day after the race. Well, we go there as soon as the gates open and get to the ticket booth and they just laughed at us when we wanted to buy tickets. They told us they were booked up 3 months in advance. That was very depressing. Not a total loss though, we stopped at the Chattanooga aquarium in Tennessee on the way back to Ky. and man that was awesome. Really nice public aquarium. I am really looking forward to going this year...I have tickets this time Has anyone else been to the GA? Anything nice to look for? I'll get plenty of pics and post up first part of the week. We are heading out tomorrow afternoon.

Well, call me a party pooper or whatever, but I wasn't "awed" by the worlds' largest aquarium. At all! Matter of fact, it was a let down in my opinion. It just didn't seem that big to me. Seemed like they had much more freshwater than saltwater displays. The beluga and the whale shark were nice to see. But it seemed like the water in these displays was murky looking. They did have a nice reef tank with hundreds of fish and corals. I'll put some pics up as soonn as I get a spare minute.
