Good beginner SPS?

I've kept a decent amount of LPS, softies and Z&P's but I've never kept SPS before.

My next tank is going to be a 40g breeder with a Reefbreeders controllable photon series LED. I'd like to try a mixture of SPS and LPS. Since I've never kept them though I'd like some suggestions as to what is forgiving and hardy.

I'm already thinking birdsnest, but outside of that I don't know what's difficult to keep and what is easier to keep.

Suggestions?

birdsnest and the hystrix family.
Monti caps and monti digitata.

porites and encrusting montis as well.

then next step, milliopora they show how happy they are by extending their polyps.

+1 to monti digi I purchased one from the divers den a little over a month ago its already got two new growth tips about 1/2 inch each and the color and polyp extension is great! I just got my first acropora today so not sure how easy they are yet.

Stylopora and pocilopora are right at the middle Id say. not the easiest, but not as hard to keep as the thin tissue Acros.

they do enjoy some particle feeding.
