Good Buy?

I'm getting cold feet here on this buy, the more I look at it. I already bought an ASM G1x skimmer to replace the one that comes with this setup but does this sound like a good buy for 475? originally asking 600. I'm assuming the lights on the fixture need to be replaced.

-100GPD 5 stage RO/DI
-75 Gallon Reef Ready Tank
-Wood Stand with 2 doors
-20Gallon long Sump tank
-between 50 and 75 pounds of live rock (nice and purple, full of life)
-random corals (I saw a few shrooms, rics, 3 varieties of candys)
-Blue hippo tang
-Brown scopas
-rose tipped anem
-few inverts
-2 maxi jet pumps, 1 Koralia-1 pump, 1 Via Aqua return pump.
-Coralife SuperSkimmer 120 in sump.
-Current USA Nova Extreme Pro T5 Aquarium Lighting Fixture, 6X54 Watt, 48 inch.

PS. Sorry mods if this isn't acceptable. I'm a noob to the forums and couldn't find anything against asking this.

It looks like a decent deal, the corals appear to be healthy. How long has the tank been running.
How old is the tank, lights, pumps etc..

Seems like a very good deal assuming everything works. Seems like there are some very good deals out there.IMO that is one.

The fixture is 2 years old and the tank has been established for 4 years. One of my worries is that it being a current fixture that 2 years might be close to its life span. If i could get 1 more t5 cycle out of it ~1 year I'd be happy. Any other thoughts?

Thanks

same here..mine is looking not so good after a year..

Very sad! That fixture is far from free. Unfortunately, this economy is forcing more and more people out, and letting fewer and fewer people in, so its absolutely a buyers market. One of my hay sources told me how many calls he's had from people no longer interested in buying hay, but wanting to give him their horse.

Sorry to stray from the post, but I don't know what is a good deal anymore; I've seen people with show size stuff, selling for frag prices and still having to give things away.

The equipment alone is worth the asking price if it's all clean and in working order IMHO. With the livestock? It's a good deal. I'd probably sell the hippo tang though, IMHO two in a tank that size is really pushing things and the scopas is more likely to be happy longterm.

IMO, although I agree its sad to see things become more of a buyers market... its a cycle. For all of those that leave, another new crop will come with time. Not to mention, beyond the additional setup a stocked reef tank doesn't "have" to cost an arm and a leg to keep running. Course most of us never stop buying, do we.

Generally, full setups like the one the thread starter is looking to purchase are not very high in demand because most of us like to custom build our systems piece by piece. This usually means the seller has to give the entire setup away for next to nothing. Personally, I don't buy anything used unless its a great bargain and I think most people feel that way.
