Well the mimic passed away today. At 7 months I feel great about keeping such a hard to keep and demanding species alive for so long. I was able to record hours of video and its body has been preserved to be sent to the NRCC for study.

Sorry about your mimic passing. It is pretty cool that you had a chance to keep one though. I hope you post lots of pictures and video of it(and your other cephs) on your web site(hint hint).

Hi Chris,
I am sorry to read about that, but keeping it going for 7 months is a real achievment. The stuff you have learnt about that guy may help save countless Mimics in the future. Its only a matter of time before some newbie jumps on this board and says, "Wow, I got me a mimic....... now what??????"

Even better that you donated the body to ceph medical science.
