So many of you where right Walmart carries RO\DI water. They use culligan water systems. It olnly cost me $1.65 for 5 gallons of water. I had my own container. They do supply them if you need but you have to buy. So that was 33 cents a gal. Less then anyone else.

Yes, I also use the water from Walmart and Giant Food Markets. I picked up a couple of 5 gal containers from Walmart. Makes it easier than using the 1 gal containers I had.

Do you know if all Walmart stores provide this service? Where is this "fountain of RO/DI water" located in the stores you visit?

I've seen it at the Super Walmart center in Cicero, but I don't recall ever seeing it at the smaller ones.

I actually used to buy the distilled water at Walmart, instead of the ro/di. It was run by Culligan, but I didn't know how often they changed their filters. I think it was 59 cents a gallon for distilled, and they'd come in gallon jugs. 3-pack of gallon jugs @ the Super Center.

I think if you don't bring your own container, it's not worth it over the distilled.

I did a test earlier this year:

TDS levels

A - 105
B - 76
C - 12
D - 524
E - 360
F - 298

I posted them in the order of what I thought would be cleanest to dirtiest water. Am I the only one Surprised by the results?

A = Culligan RO/DI from a vending machine
B = Walmart Distilled
C = RO from my filter
D = Dannon Spring Water
E = My Tap Water
F = My Well Water

I'm pretty surprised. ;)

Do you have a well attached to a separate building on your property?

I'm pretty sure Fiji water prints their tds or ppm of hardness directly on their label. Being the geek I am, I thought that was pretty neat. :D

My RO/DI is 001 ppm. I used a lab grade TDS meter from work and it is very percise. Guy...I think even 012 ppm is a bit high?

I'm not using DI so I get some PO4 and Silicate sneeking through the RO.

I think only the super walmats have this and its on the food side back by the soda all the way in the back
