Good Design ideas for hanging LED's

I', switching fixtures from my ATI 6 bulb to dual Artic T247's. The lights make the tank look great, but not really the room so much.

This tank is in my office so it needs to look nice.

I am wondering if anyone can post some room type shots so I can see how your lights are suspened, and not look detracting from the room.

I did this in my living room a coupla years ago, basically a floating canopy made of balsa wood, but wanted to see if there were better ideas out there.

Thanks

I think the floating canopy is awesome. Here's what I did. It's a simple shelving bracket and hanging kit.

I used sanded acrylic for a acid etched glass look, diffuses the light enough but also adds a little flare to the area around the tank.

My Reefbreeder photon 24's suspended when I was building the tank. That's a home depot light track, four eye bolts. I sandwiched a washer between two nuts at the end of the eyebolts, and slid the washers into the rail on the lighting track. Then hooked the hangers onto the upside down eyebolts. Simple and clean. When working on the tank you can slide the lights out of the way.

here's how I hung mine

Nothing more than a piece of cherry to match the stand, some conduit and a couple brackets, but it looks good enough for the wife!

I like the floating canopy, only thing i'd change is use the plastic cord covers and paint them same color as the wall so that the wires aren't seen.

I have a dropped ceiling so I can't hang anything. I use a small photo background support. removed the legs and clamped them to the sides of the tank. hung the lights from the crossbar. cost me 35.00.

3Dees, I'm a photographer and that is similiar to how I hung my lights in college. Except in collee the lights had to come down whenever I had a shoot. Creative for sure.
