Thanks Ted :)

I checked out their Facebook page... but how do you order it?

My wife really wants to try to make food as well. Maybe just start out with some chunkier stuff for the Triggers. Actually seems all our fish like the chunky stuff. Caught her having a long conversation with the seafood guys at whole foods last night. They had some pretty interesting fresh inverts in the back.

My frozen blend, or the coral food?

My frozen blend varies. I have listed some of the things that go in the mix previously in this thread. It kind of depends whats on sale for what gets thrown in the mix. Get to know the people at your local seafood counter. It can save you money. I just make up a large batch and use it until gone, then mix up another batch.
Both really. More looking for portions.

Forget anything processed. The fresher the better and only one ingredient. Examples, clams, shrimp, squid, and live worms. The only dried food that goes in my tanks is algae flakes.

Sorry for the confusion but "only one ingredient". What do you mean by this?

I dont really stick to a standard for portions when mixing. I just go for the random approach and try to include as much variety as possible. IMO portions are less important than variety. Some good threads here you can look up for homemade frozen blends.

Some advice i learned here was to dump the mix after blended into a ziplock freezer back and then lay it flat to freeze. Freezes like a piece of cardboard. Makes it easy to just break off a portion that you want to feed.

Thanks Ted :)

I will get you Brent's number, he owns the co, I was introduced to him by Dave B in here...

Making your own is great too...

+1 For Chefzilla's Chowdown. I have been using it for over 3 years now. It's the only frozen food in my freezer.

I know Brent and he goes to different markets all over town for specific fresh ingredients. It's not just a stop at the seafood section at the local grocery store.

Brent is super easy to work with if you want a batch with something special (let's say you believe that pureed carrots are an important diet additive) he's willing to make special blends for people.

Sounds like Rogger's Reef food, though Rogger's has been around quite a bit longer, and I guess mostly in the south FL region. Worth checking out his site if you're looking for nice hand-picked foods with human-grade stock.

I use Larry's reef frenzy, pe mysis, cyclopeeze, and occasionally I will blend up a shellfish based DIY. I also use hikari spirulina brine when I feel like feeding the LPS and paly's.(lots of little brine to keep the fish and shrimp busy while I watch the coral eat)
