Good idea to use copper connector?

I know copper isn't good for a reef. But, is it alright if I used a copper tube connector for my RO/DI unit as I need to connect some extra tubing to go outside?

As long as it's in-line BEFORE the ro/di and not on its outflow, it's good.

does have copper content...for marine purposes, is copper. Saltwater aggressively takes the copper component into solution; freshwater not so much.

This is correct. Standard issue plubing I would trust more than plastic. After all it is likely you have copper pipes in your house anyway. For outflow use plastic.
