hi,

I bought an ip camera last year and never ended up really using it because the video quality was bad, when my halides were on all i could really see were the fish and not very clear.

Has anyone found one they are happy with if yes please let me know the make & model and approximate cost.

Thanks,

Pat

I have an Axis 214. New they are about 1500. But you can find them on ebay for less than 1/2 that. PTZ camera. Big feature for me was the automatic white balance so it compensates with the blue lights of our coral tanks.

Supports up to 20 viewers at a time.

Try mine out 74.62.193.110 -- Lights are on from 5-12 PST.

+1 manual white bulb is the key.....

I have a Foscam which works well but my problem is that my Profilux is already using my port 80 on my ATT Uverse 2wire router so even though i set up a second host with no-ip for the foscam, it still goes to the profilux. I can't figure out how to allow access to both devices. :(

That is amazing. I just logged on. Thanks. How many cameras do you have? (BTW - Tank looks great even with the lights out and Barbs coral is fine :) )

MKbtank,

I have two cameras on the tank. I have the Axis and I also have a Canon VB-10. The Canon I have had setup for about 8 years in an integrated webpage for public access. It gets several hundred viewers a day from all over the world. I need to take the time to update the page with the Axis camera.

Foscam 8910W on Amazon or Home Depot = $60.

It isn't HD, and doesn't have zoom, but $60 for a PTZ camera with 2 way audio and IR is a great deal. Works great for me.

When the HD model drops under $100, I'll grab that one.
